KUP didn't just sponsor my education — they believed in my dreams before I knew how to. I'm now studying to be a nurse, and my younger sister is in school because of this program.
I came to volunteer for two weeks. I stayed for two months. The students taught me more than I could ever teach them — and I'll be back every year I can.
As a teacher here, I've seen what consistent support does. We have textbooks now. We have a library. The children come to school hungry to learn — and we finally have what we need to meet them there.
My son was the first in our family to finish primary school. Now he's in secondary, and he tells me he wants to be an engineer. I never imagined I would hear those words.
